FYI Dallas w/N. Dallas An Exemplary Rating for 1999 was achieved by many Dallas schools. To achieve Exemplary Rating: 90% of students must pass reading, writing & math portion of TAAS test. Dallas ISD HS students are eligible to attend a wide variety of magnet program. N. Dallas HS is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools. N. Dallas HS was name an International School by the State of Texas. HS offers extensive & comprehensive English as a Second Language program. HS Foreign Language classes include Vietnamese and Cambodian. Magnet and Montessori programs are available to District students by application. The Townview Magnet Center Houses six high school magnet programs. Townview Business & Management Center Principal is Mr. Menchaca-phone # 214-944-2600. North Dallas HS is home to an Army ROTC program. 59.9% of our students passed the 1998 Spring TAAS tests. School lists are based on student assignment plan. FYI Dallas w/Townview Ed. An Exemplary Rating for 1999 was achieved by many Dallas schools. To achieve Exemplary Rating: 90% of students must pass reading, writing & math portion of TAAS test. Students attend Close-Up - a week long government observation program in DC. FHA hero won 1st in Attendance for the Region. Phys. Ed. Wellness Program includes nutrition, aerobics & other health related areas. Extra-curricular clubs are open to students in all magnets with some restrictions. Dallas SD is working towards having a computer for every 4 students by the yr. 2000. Year round education is provided at select Dallas School District schools.
